THE FEEL

Wright City provides a peaceful, semi-rural area in which to live. Most homes are single-family homes with plenty of land, but there are also some multi-family homes and sites for future home construction. The city prides itself on being a peaceful, semi-rural setting.

HISTORY

Wright City was built in 1857 near the North Missouri Railroad. The neighborhood was named for Dr. Henry C. Wright.

Forty-five miles west of St. Louis, Wright City is just off of Interstate 70 with easy access into the city.

CULTURE

The neighborhood thrives on community involvement, offering a number of churches and organizations to plug into.

ENTERTAINMENT

Residents gather at The Wright City Lions Club for an array of events, from barbeques to mouse races. It’s always 5 o’clock at the Cedar Lake Cellars, and there’s always reason for an early tee time at Innsbrook Resort Golf Course. 

SCHOOLS

Wright City has its own school district, Wright City R-II. Residents invest heavily into education, passing initiatives to keep staff salaries competitive and fund a tuition-free preschool.

PARKS & REC

Diekroeger Bros. Park | The oldest park in Warren County, it hosts community events like “Concert in the Park” and the spring and fall flea markets. Seven acres it contains a pavilion with electricity, playground, and a picnic area.

 Corwin S. Ruge Memorial Park | This park was made possible by a grant form the Department of Natural resources and the Wright City Community.

 Ruge Park | The site of Wright City baseball and Jack & Jill Summer Softball League, this park has lighted fields, a basketball court, pavilion, walking trail, playground, and picnic areas.
